Accounting System Review - What may be requested

For those of my colleagues who may not know what may be requested for an accounting system review, below is a copy of several DCAA auditor's actual request for information from contractors in preparation for an accounting system review. Review the request so you do not have to be caught unprepared or off guard.

FROM: DCAA Audit Office

TO: Contractor

Dear Contractor,

Terms And Definitions

Direct Costs - any cost which is identified specifically with a particular final cost objective (contract). Indirect Costs -A FAR 31.203 defines indirect cost as follows: An indirect cost is any cost not directly identified with a single, final cost objective, but identified with two or more final cost
